Threaded Rods for Vector Mounts

Our Vector Mounts are designed to last a lifetime with easy minimal maintenance. These rods are standard M4 threads 35 mm in length. In the unlikely event that years of rolling over curbs with a double bass wheel leads to the threads wearing, the rod can easily be removed from the thumbscrew by heating in an oven to 400 degrees and unscrewing by hand (holding gently with a pliers and cloth, of course, so you don’t get burned!) Then, glue in a new rod with a drop of 5-minute epoxy and you’re good to go! (Don’t try that with the stock plastic Elesa brand thumbscrews used by many other makers of “premium” endpins!)
