A New Wolf Eliminator! Georg’s Journey
June 3, 2026 As many of you may know, back in 2023 the Saddle Rider Research Collective released a Creative Commons adjustable magnetic “coupled resonator.” Recently, my friend Georg Schegolsky (founder of ConCarbo) and I decided to combine our talents to further refine this successful design. Here is a brief video showing the result of our efforts!
As you watch the video, please consider Georg’s remarkable journey from missile-torn Kharkiv to Porto, Portugal where he is currently traveling to find a safe home for his extended family and young daughter. Saddle Rider is releasing this elegant wolf eliminator as a fundraiser to help Georg create a new life in Portugal. Before packing up his tools for the trip, Georg was able to complete a limited-release batch which he hopes will help his family offset their moving costs.
A little about Georg’s Journey:
Back when the war started, Georg had a successful small business making the high-quality carbon fiber tailpieces many of us have grown to love. Running the small business wasn’t a path to riches, but he was able to support his young family with his artistry. When the missiles started to rain down on Kharkiv, everything changed: Georg and his family knew they had to leave everything behind to start from scratch elsewhere.
They temporarily settled in Poland where Georg used his engineering talents to bootstrap a 3D printer followed by a CNC machine using whatever spare parts and hardware he could find. Now that he has rebuilt the tools of his trade, he is excited to settle for the long term in Portugal. Georg has sent Saddle Rider his first batch of the new resonators which we will sell on his behalf for the introductory price of $85 USD each. We expect the MSRP to be in keeping with the other resonators on the market, and hope that musicians and luthiers will appreciate our trademark, patent-pending new design which is exclusive to Saddle Rider Research Collective resonators.
Please consider helping Georg and his family move to a safe home in Portugal far from the war. We look forward to their new base from which we can offer many more Saddle Rider and ConCarbo designs to string players around the world!
Thank you for your consideration,
